Most people in our town know me as the founder of Safe Harbor NC, a ministry of transformation for women who are experiencing homelessness, addiction, and life transition. That all started in a women’s jail in 2000, and Safe Harbor was then born in 2004, where I served as Executive Director for eight years, stepping down to the role of Program Director for the remainder of my time there which ended in 2019.
Grace for Days is my message and my offering to those who have tried to be good and do right and have either failed or are tired of trying so hard. It’s also for those who are enjoying the journey with God but want to go deeper and further. It is born out of my experience with those who have suffered unimaginable pain in their lives, along with my own hurts, disappointments and failures. And from the practices that I have found so incredibly life-giving: “grace” counseling, Spiritual Direction, the Enneagram, the Spiritual Exercises, and the creative arts.
