Spiritual Direction at Grace for Days

Spiritual Direction is an ancient practice that has been steadily recognized in more recent years as a beautiful resource in the spiritual formation process. It is a relationship between two individuals in which one is trained to prayerfully listen as the other shares what he or she is experiencing with God in daily life. The director may ask questions or provide exercises that help the directee hear God more clearly and form a response. The end goal is to grow deeper roots into an intimate and thriving relationship with God. This practice is helpful for individuals no matter what their current relationship with God may be: in times of a thriving, growing relationship as well as seasons of dryness or a “dark night of the soul.”

Sessions are usually scheduled for one hour monthly, with some exceptions based on what the individual may want to experience.

I am trained to accompany individuals through the 18th or 19th Annotation of the Spiritual Exercises and to accompany groups through the 18th Annotation. You can find out more about the Exercises here.

I am a member of the Evangelical Spiritual Directors Association, which is an entity of Grafted Life Ministries. Find out more about Spiritual Direction here or look for a Director in your area.

A sample of one of the types of practices used in spiritual direction is Lectio Divina. You may download a sample worksheet here.
